These investments mark a significant milestone for us and highlight the diverse and innovative companies we are supporting.<a data-mce-href="https://corvion.com/" href="https://corvion.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Corvion</a> is a medical technology company developing a revolutionary Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) to improve the quality of life for patients with end-stage heart failure. Unlike traditional LVADs, Corvion's device uses wireless charging and increased efficiency, which reduces infection risks and improves mobility. The company has earned FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and an NIH Phase 1 SBIR Grant, highlighting its innovative approach and potential impact. With a seasoned leadership team and promising preclinical results, Corvion is positioned to transform heart failure treatment potentially. The LVAD market has a potential worth of $15 billion, with Corvion poised to capture a significant market share by offering a superior, patient-centric solution. <a data-mce-href="https://www.targetarm.com/" href="https://www.targetarm.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Target Arm</a> is an autonomous robotics company that has developed the innovative Tular system. Founded by a decorated Combat F-15 pilot, the team at Target Arm comprises a diverse group of engineers specializing in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, robotics, mechatronics, and computer science. The company boasts notable customers such as Hyundai, the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and the Army. They target a $30 billion market, hold three pivotal patents, and have graduated from the Air Force Accelerator Powered by Techstars and the Endless Frontier Labs Accelerator. <a data-mce-href="https://www.sweaterventures.com/" href="https://www.sweaterventures.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sweater</a> is a Fintech platform that enables institutions, individuals, Fintech platforms, and celebrities to create venture capital funds accessible to all U.S. investors, regardless of accreditation. This "fund as a service" initiative aims to make VC investing available to a broader audience rather than just the wealthy. Sweater handles legal compliance and provides tools for engaging communities and onboarding investors. They have five signed contracts estimated at $95M throughout their lifetime. This is just the start. We plan on investing in 200 companies over the next 2 years. Our algorithm reviews over 500 open deals daily, and the quality of deals that cross our desks is improving. Needless to say, we are excited about the potential of these companies and look forward to supporting their growth and success. Thank you for your patience and diligence in reviewing the fund documents. We're thrilled to announce that we will begin countersigning on June 19th, with our capital call following shortly after. This marks the start of our journey to deploy capital into some of the most promising startups in the industry! As we move forward with our weekly investment decisions, I'll make sure to update you regularly. You'll also receive our research reports to stay abreast of industry developments. If the volume of information becomes overwhelming, please let me know, and we can adjust the frequency of communications to suit your needs. We've been busy at D3VC. A few trends are happening in the private capital markets that are proving to be positive for us. According to Pitchbook and our friends on Sand Hill Road, VCs are still sitting on the sidelines with signals that they won't start to invest until later in the year. This means more companies are turning online for capital, and hence, we are seeing an increase in deal flow and investor interest. We are also seeing a drop in valuations, mainly in the pre-revenue space, opening opportunities for us to uncover promising companies to invest in. That said, we are seeing more VCs syndicating deals under Regulation Crowdfunding than ever. We like this because they come in with capital, diligence, and an eye for growth.We are also excited to share a sneak peek at what we think will bring more eyes, ears, and dollars to the industry.
